It all started when…
I started crocheting summer of 2016. After cleaning out the attic of my grandparents house we found a ton of yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks. My grandma passed away when I was 3 but I was told she loved to work with yarn. So I decided to keep all the hooks and needles and try it out for myself.
After looking up a few YouTube videos, I started to learn to crochet. It didn't take long for me to become addicted to crocheting and before long I was designing my own patterns as well. So I decided to make a business doing what I love.
More than just loving to crochet, it also allows me to do something that is helpful to others.
Just like many other families out there, my family has been touched by cancer. I lost my grandpa in 2015 due to ocular melanoma. He was my role model. When I was little he bought me my first violin and I've been playing ever since. I loved visiting with him and playing our violins together. Shortly later that year I lost my grandma on my dad's side to stomach cancer. Sadly, I also recently lost my mother in law to a rare type cancer called leiomyosarcoma.
So with my skill of crocheting, I make chemo caps and donate them to Knots of Love so that people who are going through chemotherapy can have something that will hopefully make them feel like someone is thinking about them. Further, I donate 10% of my profits to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation to help further research in that area.
All of my items are quality made with care. They are also made in a smoke free environment.
I hope you enjoy my selection! I am more than happy to make custom requests! If you want an item in a different color, or want me to make something that I don't have listed on my etsy, or even if you need an item made with a particular kind of yarn, just send me a message and I will do everything I can to make your item perfect!
